Deck builders in Melbourne
A good deck starts underneath. We set out footings and subframe correctly so the boards stay flat, then finish with clean edges, steps and balustrades that suit the space.

Built right from the footings up
A deck is only as good as its subframe. We set out footings and bearers to suit the span and the ground, allow for ventilation and drainage, and keep everything level so the boards stay flat for years.
Hardwood and composite decking
We build with Australian hardwoods such as spotted gum, merbau and blackbutt, and with composite boards for a low-maintenance finish that won’t need oiling. We’ll explain the trade-offs in cost, look and upkeep before you choose.
Hidden fixing systems are available for a clean, screw-free surface.
Steps, landings and balustrades
Raised decks need safe, comfortable stairs and compliant balustrades. We build wide timber steps, landings and frameless glass, aluminium or timber balustrades to suit the design of the house.
Common questions
Is composite or hardwood decking better?
Hardwood has a natural look and can be re-sanded; composite needs almost no maintenance. Both last well when the subframe is built correctly.
How long does a deck take to build?
A standard backyard deck usually takes one to two weeks, depending on size, height and stairs.
Can you replace the boards on my existing deck?
If the subframe is sound, yes. We inspect it first and tell you honestly whether a re-board or a full rebuild makes more sense.
